10.30am, Turning for Beginners with Stuart Pickering
Stuart is Record Power's Sales Director and has over 35 years of experience in woodturning. Using the CL4 lathe, Stuart will demonstrate the entire process of making a bowl, from roughing out the blank to applying finishes. Use of the essential chisels and other tools, including chucks, will be discussed and shown, giving the new woodturner an invaluable and inspiring insight into this fascinating craft.

11.45am, Bandsaw Masterclass with Craig Heffren
Craig will be familiar to many visitors, being one of Record Power's most experienced demonstrators and bandsaw experts. Bandsaws are exceptionally versatile machines and have small footprints for the machining capability on offer, making them a very popular choice for all levels of workshop. Craig will explain the benefits of bandsaw ownership and demonstrate some of their capabilities using the BS350 bandsaw, before walking through the major features of the machine and what to look out for when planning to purchase a bandsaw. Craig will also be discussing how to get the most out of bandsaws, covering initial setup, fine-tuning and blade choice.

1.00pm, An Introduction to the Spindle Moulder with Phil Meyers
A spindle moulder opens up a vast array of possibilities in the workshop. Phil will be demonstrating the versatility of this machine using some standard tooling to show how flexible and useful it is whilst also illustrating the key safety features of modern tooling and machines.

2.15pm, Planer Thicknesser Masterclass with Craig Heffren
Using the PT107 Planer Thicknesser, Craig will give a comprehensive demonstration of the benefits and operation of planer thicknessers. Preparing and sizing timber accurately and quickly is essential to any joinery work, making a reliable planer thicknesser an essential part of any serious workshop setup. Craig will be discussing the general features of machine construction and give invaluable advice on what to look for when planning a purchase as well as a guide to the full Record Power range of planer thicknessers.

1.00pm, Pen Turning Masterclass with Mark Raby
A highly experienced and well known demonstrator, Mark will be demonstrating in detail the full process of pen making on the DML305-VS lathe. He will cover the drilling of the blank, insertion of the mechanism, turning of the pen and lastly the application of a finish and final assembly. This fascinating demonstration simplifies the making process and shows just how quick and easy it is to make a range of unique and beautiful pens.

All day, Polishing & Finishing with Mark Raby
Mark will be demonstrating the range of Mylands waxes and polishes for both the cabinet maker and woodturner, including a new range of spirit stains specifically designed for the woodturner with many varying colours. There will be special pricing on many packages over the period of the show. Mark will be available for demonstration and advice in Hall 2 at all other times. Mylands have been manufacturing in the UK for over 125 years.
